The Schwere Reiter is a freestanding new building on the grounds of the creative quarter. The building stands out due to its exterior façade, which consists of steel beams. The building is completely at ground level. There is a rain gutter in front of the main entrance that runs along the front of the building. The main entrance has two large glass doors. The doors open automatically outwards. There is a floor grate in front of the entrance. There is a three-centimeter-wide gap between the floor grate and the entrance door. In the middle of the entrance area, there is a manhole cover in the floor. The manhole cover is not flush with the floor. This creates a small threshold at the edges of the manhole cover. The entrance area is bright and spacious. The room has high ceilings. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet. More information here.
