Chirping songbirds, crickets stridulating, and ultrasonic bats are all part of the orchestra of the city’s symphony. They depend on food plants or plants that attract insects. By creating an appealing food supply, we can bring this concert into our own neighborhoods.

“Seeds to Sounds” is a project by the art/science team “Shared Soundscapes” (Dr. Petroschkat / Dr. Schmitt) of the interdisciplinary research network CitySoundscapes. It is being realized in collaboration with the BUND Naturschutz. The project consists of regional seed mixtures compiled by the BUND Naturschutz’s biodiversity experts, designed to support birds, amphibians, and bats.
The SEEDS TO SOUNDS seed packets, designed in the form of CDs, are being offered during the Münchner Biennale at the ZELT in exchange for dreams and utopias of the urban soundscapes of tomorrow.
