Navid Navab – Organism: „In Turbulence Set 2“ & Aquarian
“Organism” defines nothing less than a newly created instrument: a centuries-old pipe organ that has been reconstructed using robotics in order to destabilise its socio-historical tonality. In their solo performance, Navid Navab unleashes unstable timbres that have remained unheard until now and steers them into a sonic self-organisation, traversing microsonic polyrhythms, post-rock overspill and swampy soundscapes. The project was awarded the Golden Nica at the Prix Ars Electronica 2025.
s a DJ, Aquarian's genre -bending and breakneck approach is as potent as ever, echoing his production ethos and threading the needle across a field of disparate genres; fast techno meets pitched up gqom, prog-garage collides with baile funk, while footwork and jungle is pieced together with power house and italo disco.
