Abo Abo + Tania Cortés Becerra: „NEW RUINS“
Experimental A/V performance
The incredibly dense audio-visual performance “New Ruins” explores the intersection between music, technology and artificial intelligence. Under the name Abo Abo sound artist Daniele Carcassi presents a unique fusion of turntables, modular synthesizers and AI tools. Tania Cortés Becerra’s minimalist perspective creates an impulsive visual layer that intertwines with the sound to form a living system of code and imagination.
The project was co-developed by the Paris-based Centre for Contemporary Music and Sound Research (ICRAM) and was awarded the Prix Ars Electronica in the Digital Music & Sound Art category in 2025.
