Impressions of one’s own childhood and childhood per se are part of From Another View. One remembers things inaccurately as well as accurately. Seemingly important things. Seemingly incidental things. One doesn’t know why. Objectivity and subjectivity lose their value and detachment.
With this project, the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich and the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding would like to “pick up” their students at the point where they are: At the age when they are cutting the cord from their origins. At the age of a new personal dawning, on the way to forming their personalities. Free of literary formats and traditions (by librettists they chose themselves, and in forms they selected themselves) five short operas will be created by the Serbian Jelena Dabic, the Iranian Arash Safaian, the Canadian Samy Moussa, and the Munich natives Johannes X. Schachtner and Gregor A. Mayrhofer.
